Please make sure to use **Google Chrome**.\
Other browsers may not support device connection properly.
{% endhint %}

### What to Do If the Device Is Not Recognized <a href="#undefined-6" id="undefined-6"></a>

{% hint style="warning" %}
If the device is not connecting to your PC or doesn’t appear in the port list, please check the following steps:

* **Try using a different USB cable.** In some cases, a faulty cable may prevent the device from being recognized properly.
* **Try connecting to a different USB port.** Some ports may not work as expected, so switching ports can help.
* Make sure the **CP210x VCP driver** is installed. This is especially important for Listener devices, which require the driver for proper port recognition.
* If the driver is not installed yet, please refer to the guide below: [→ \[CP210x VCP Driver Installation Guide\]](https://freegrow-1.gitbook.io/product-docs-en/en-creator-kit-q1/learn-more/cp210x-vcp-driver-installation-guide)<br>
  {% endhint %}

### PAN ID Setup

* After connecting, enter the PAN ID value in the input field.\
  Example: `0x0000`

<figure><img src="/files/S9G5CZm273PHIOGgbg1D" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* All Anchors in the same system **must use the same PAN ID**.

#### What is a PAN ID?

* A unique ID used to identify each RTLS network
* Only devices with the same PAN ID can communicate via UWB
* Used to define a single RTLS group within a space

***

### Set Coordinates and Role

#### Initiator Anchor

* The Anchor used as the reference point for RTLS calculations
* Only one Initiator must be set, and it serves as the Trigger signal sender within the system.

How to Set Up:

* While the device is connected, check the **Initiator** checkbox to enable it.

  <figure><img src="/files/OjJqIhxTHIBtfRxUWb1N" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
* Enter the X, Y, and Z coordinates based on actual measured distances (unit: mm).
  * Example: X: `15000`, Y: `0`, Z: `3000`

<figure><img src="/files/ySULsiEc007z7qdXbTE9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Once all values are entered, click the **\[Save]** button.
* Then, connect the next Anchor and repeat the same steps.

<figure><img src="/files/k5L89sD8pTfgnVE18uFM" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If you need to remove previous settings, you can use the **\[Factory Reset]** feature to restore the device to its default state.
{% endhint %}

<table><thead><tr><th width="146.20001220703125">Installation Type</th><th width="189.7999267578125">Environment</th><th>Method</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Wall Mount</td><td>Office space</td><td>Fixed with screws, keep level, organize cables</td></tr><tr><td>Ceiling Mount</td><td>Factory, warehouse</td><td>Use brackets or cable ties</td></tr><tr><td>Pole Mount</td><td>Narrow spaces</td><td>Use double-sided tape or Velcro</td></tr></tbody></table>

#### Installation Tips

* Secure the device firmly to prevent shaking or tilting
* Avoid installing near materials that may interfere with signals, such as metal, glass, or pillars
* Organize power and signal cables neatly for easier maintenance
* After installation, always check signal reception and LED status

***

### Connect Power and Check Operation

* Prepare a USB Type-C adapter that supports the recommended voltage and current
* Connect it to the Anchor's power port
* Check the LED to confirm that the device is powered on

{% hint style="info" %}
Using an adapter with lower output than the recommended specs may cause unstable power or disconnection issues.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://freegrow-1.gitbook.io/product-docs-en/en-creator-kit-q1/uwb-creator-kit-q1-complete-setup-and-usage-guide/installation-guide/anchor-setup.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
